| Principle of Pearl Pigments |

With samdwich, Pearl is made up of core packed by calcium carbonate and protein layer.
Refracted light,reflected light and penetrating can produce
color or interference color similar to iridescencein the specific
layer.
Pearlescent pigment, provided with the specialties of refraction
and reverberation
which is the same with natural pearl. Incident light is reverb
-erated or refracted by film;part of lights can not penetrate
through film and part of lights are refracted. Color of reflected
light depends on the thickness of thin layer
Pearlescent pigments, made up of mica subindividual, are
inorganic pigments. Packed with Metic Dioxide, ex:TiO2,
Fe2O3. The high refractive index of Metic Dioxide,with low
refractive index of Mica subindividual and the Medium
around, thus caused interference color.
Interference color can be obtained by controlling coating
thickness of titanium dioxide on micro mica subindividual. |
